Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) announce the very successful completion of the 5th Annual HAVA/NSSF Golf Classic on January 20, 2019 in Las Vegas. The event was contested by 38 foursomes using a scramble format at the ‘Bear’s Best Golf Club west of the Las Vegas strip, with an increased field of 152 players, up from 116 last year.

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (NNS) — The Navy announced the non-profit organization Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) as this year’s recipient of the Spirit of Hope Award.
HAVA was nominated by Cmdr. Steven Macdonald, executive officer, Naval Sea Logistics Center (NSLC). NSLC is aligned under Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division, Keyport, which reports directly to NUWC Headquarters and to the Naval Sea Systems Command. Macdonald selected HAVA because of the organization’s dedication to raising awareness, increasing confidence, and assisting injured men and women returning from military missions by reconnecting them with outdoor activities.

SIG SAUER, Inc. is pleased to announce it raised over $40,000 for the Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) organization at the 2018 SIG SAUER Charity Golf Tournament held Friday, August 3rd at Pease Golf Course in Newington, New Hampshire. In 2018 this annual event had a record-breaking year and expanded to 152 players that contributed to a 150% increase in fundraising over the previous year.
